She changes her mind once she has arrived and takes over a now defunct diner, the scene of a murder/suicide. Howard dies. Jessica meets Carlton. Sheriff Gabe has an interest in Rebecca. But then Barry attacks Jessica. The story has a mixed ending that you may not expect.
