E. E. "Doc" Smith was a fantastic writer of fantastic "Space Operas" that stick in your mind and your imagination. "Skylark of Space" was published in 1928 and is the first in a series of space travel novels which also includes "Skylark Three", "Skylark of Valeron", and "Skylark DuQuesne". This commemorative edition has a larger format than the paperback edition I originally owned but the cover is the same type of lurid design that was popular in the 20's and 30's.
