Scottish Brogue...sigh
Again, a story about time travel. While not my thing to engage in belief of that type of thing, the story does not revolve around that premise. This is a bond that crosses generations, dreams and lives in the minds and hearts of two bent on finding out about and protecting a sacred secret. That two hearts are so connected over generations unfolds with such clarity that one can almost "see" the way it must happen and causes the reader to "root" for the ultimate to happen. While their goals are initially different - his is to protect the secret; hers is to unearth the secrect - their connection unfolds in their dreams and they are drawn to it like moths to a flame. A tragic loss requiring action springs her into a strong heroine - not needed saving by anyone but herself. She proves her determidness througout and makes the ultimate happen with sometimes dire consequences. This is a story about a heroine as strong and determined as her hero and thus makes the story so strong that the time travel is swiftly a non issue for non believers.
