Hands that heal a heart? This tale is one where the bad guy grapples with human desire that is not like some other Howard novels. His is a good guy gone rogue without desire of his own. His story alone is worth the read. Add love and hope springs eternal for this cowboy. This story, while plot unfolds, has a reader holding breath. Wishes for love to flourish while the whispers of danger hang loud. This is a tender romance (one may not initially believe so) fraught with hard as nails decisions that can cost the lives of the hero/heroine. Necessity requires harshness, but one understands why in this story and can never hold it against him. Another unlikely hero emerges where one does not initially expect it. She makes him see/believe the man he can be without words, but through her generosity of heart/love.

Western Romance
This book got me hooked on Linda Howard. It's a great historical romance. The writing is very good, the plot exciting and provocative, and the erotic factor--well let's just say not much is left to the imagination.
