A wonderful story of the Puerto Rican and legal communities. While Ms Sotomayor says she is not predicting how she will act on the Supreme Court, it is amazing how often her Supreme Court dissents correspond well to passages and concerns in this autobiography.

Fascinating and inspiring
Sonia Sotomayor, now a supreme court judge, tells her story from happy but impoverished childhood to her current position of respect and authority, dealing with severe diabetes along the way. The book reads well and moves right along till the last introspective chapter or two, when it bogs down in self-evaluation. But the childhood, student and early career chapters are entrancing.

very inspiring
Ms. Sotomayor's clear recollections of her childhood and young adulthood provide inspiration and show her energy and compassion. A slice of American history.
