We used this book in our book club and there was so much to talk about. The research was well done and everything portrayed in the book is very plausible considering it is fiction. There is much about the Tiffany Companies and the father/son sides of the business. The women that worked for the company were mostly immigrants and there is a lot of information about what their lives were like. Clara comes into the story after she is widowed and returns to work for Mr. Tiffany again. He had a rule that no married women could work for him so there is some strife about what happens to women in relationships when they work for him. There was a lot to this story and we all enjoyed it very much.
