a little more depth than usual, more story development. a welcome addition.

Good read.
There is always some great history lesson and things you never knew about the past, but the characters are a bit stale and they are always being one upped by the bad guys/gals, as well as our hero's lose to many love interests to tragically before they even build a relationship. Story lines are becoming a bit transparent and lazy.
