I could only get through casting on and never even made it to the first knit stitch. The instructions and diagrams were not at all clear. I thought I must be the real "dummy" until I had a few other non-knitters try and they couldn't get it either. Finally, I had a friend show me how and I was knitting and purling in minutes! I would not recommend this book.
