This is the fourth work by this author about English history, I read it because it delt with the Crusades and I wanted to know more about them. I was very surprised at how easy it is to read, not as long winded or detailed like James Michener or as deep as Bernard Cornwell, so it made it easy to pick and put down at night. Overall, a really good book and I look forward to reading more of it.
