I Iike animals & was expecting to like Thomas French's book. However, he's a gifted writer who turned a recitation of past events into a page-turner. I couldn't put it down. The stories of the elephants from Africa, the chimpazee who outgrew his place as a family pet & a beautiful tigress are mesmerizing. And then there are the humans. Highly recommended.
