When I started this novel I couldn't put it down for the first half of the book. This part dealt with the love between Jacques Ducharme and his first wife, Annie Lark. After that it was downhill for me. The second half of the novel didn't flow well. The characters weren't as fleshed out . They seemed to be tossed in without much thought. Events happened which weren't very well described. I must say that in the end some of the unanswered questions posed throughout the book were answered. That is why I gave it a good rating. But my total verdict on this one is mixed.
