Samurai! Is the action-packed biography of Japan's greatest World War II fighter pilot. Here are the harrowing experiences of Saburo Sakai, one of Japan's most celebrated aces: from fighter pilot school - where the harsh training expelled over half of his class - to the thrilling early Japanese victories; from his incredible six-hundred-mile fight for life from Guadalcanal to his base in Rabaul, to the poignant story of the now-handicapped veteran's return to the air during the final desperate months of World War II.

The book describes the daily routine and Sakaï are so humble on his book one anti hero who salute his ennemies(he meet regulary her after the war) i had loved to read. Samurai by Saburo Sakai
I first read this book back around 1961 and still remembered some of the more interesting passages causing me to buy a copy today and reread this book. Very interesting as it shows the other side of the war in the Pacific. Not sure if all of the contents are accurate, but still a very interesting account from a Zero pilot.
