exhausitve. reading this is like reading a concordance .... in a good sense. John Gill's only concern is that God through Christ be magnified. If anyone claims to have a power to save themselves or even to make themselves righteous or acceptable to Gid is denying God, denying Christ and has no need of the Savior. The saddest truth of all is that a book like this had to be written. Those who will take to heart the truths set forth in this little book will be finding out shortly that their only concern is that they are not giving God enough glory. Rule of thumb for christian living.....take no credit for anything.....this is called humility.
