For the Initiate with strong callings for esoteric and theosophical writings. This edition talks directly to the reader through teachings and commentary directed at those deep times of winter season/solstice/christmas, through the lenten season and into the Wesak of April/May and June rituals. A good choice for someone who isn't drawn to eastern religions, yet is called to the depth of knowing that perhaps north American religions do not supply. Collins was a formost early 20th Century mystic whose writings and teachings were brought into north America along with theosophists and teachers of her era. A must read for someone who likes to skip the jargon and get directly to the heart of a teaching. Not for the frivolous, yet equal to Besant.
