They like having a hero they can root for or an antihero that is slightly apologetic. This is the complete opposite of that. I fell for a man with a pitch-black soul and a charm so deceptive he could outwit the Devil. Our relationship was far from sunshine and rainbows. It was toxic, twisted, and dangerously addictive. He wasn't an easy man to love. He had a bad habit of breaking my heart, just to rebuild it and shatter it again. It's easier to explain it from the very beginning, so that's what I'll try to do. But first, a word of warning, this isn't going to be pretty or even in the realm of what some can stomach or fathom, but I promise there's a happily ever after at the end.
