In Breaking the Chains: From Hurting to Healing, I take you the reader on a journey through my life, which is a true from trials to triumph story. Throughout my life I have experienced horrifying incidents from being sexually abused, living in a domestic violence relationship, being born to a teen mother and later becoming one, alcoholism, divorce and more. In spite of my life's circumstances, today I am Dr. Pullum, because I have always maintained a relationship with God. My faith in and relationship with God has allowed me to survive, maintain my sanity and somehow move past the pain. I know today that the pain was all a part of my purpose. I wrote this book, my story, to help as many people as I can to fight through the pain and free themselves from the chains that can hold a person that has survived sexual, physical and mental assaults and all other forms of abuse hostage. I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth because it's my story but it's all for God's glory. I am free, no more chains holding me and I have dedicated my story to everyone that has survived something; together we are FREE!!
