Al Tarvin is a Southern Author, born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 29, 1929. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and rose to the grade of Colonel prior to his retirement. He is a former high school teacher; Headmaster of a private school and College Instructor. He holds a B.S. degree from Utah State University, an MS from the University of Southern California and Troy State University. His writing career began in the Air Force with military newspapers and followed into his retirement at the Santa Rosa Sun newspaper in the Milton, Florida area. He has written for the Freelance News Organization and is a writer of camping articles as he travels in his RV over the country on book signings and writing seminars. When arranging for book signings he always offers to hold writing and publishing seminars and conduct writer's discussion groups in the book stores. He began writing the Chelsea novel series in late 1993 and has completed four of the five he planned to write. His fifth Chelsea novel, Chelsea and the Lords, is to be released in February 1999. He is also writing two Christian novels, The Preacher's Daughter and the Wife of a Preacher. He also plans to complete a book that has been in work for sometime entitled Til Death Do Us Part in 1999. He is active in community affairs, church and civic organizations in the Northwest are of Florida.
