Sierras and Sea
A thorough survey of landscape, human activities, some history and of tourism, exploring and back-packing activities. The maps are clear, helful and uncluttered. The sections on the Tarahumara people are sympathetic and informative. The adventures of the various authors are well told and occasionally fascinating. The book is full of good to excellent photos.
The book could do with a new edition dealing with the impact of tourism, infrastructure projects and "development" together with comments on effective conservation in the parks.
