Seller's Description:
Very good. Connecting readers with great books since 1972! Used books may not include companion materials, and may have some shelf wear or limited writing. We ship orders daily and Customer Service is our top priority!
G.H.Rothe has developed an unearthly skill with the difficult process of printmaking called mezzotint. Using this method, an artist textures a plate with a steel rocker that leaves an impression on the plate that enables it to hold a deep saturation of ink. In order to get the light passages, she must skillfully burnish areas of the plate to reflect light. Working in reverse, she developes her images with both subtle and bold lines. A real treat to behold!
