This is the next installment of Toni's life, a chronicle of her years in the United States and her return to Australian shores. Toni Lamond has lived and breathed show business all her life and has had a distinguished career in TV, cabaret and the musical stage. Born to an Australian show-business dynasty, Toni's career began at age 10 singing on the radio and touring with her parents' variety shows and has since encompassed musical comedy, straight plays, recordings, film and cabaret. In Australia she went on to star in the original productions of The Pyjama Game, Oliver, Gypsy, Anything Goes, Tunnel of Love and Wildcat . In the early 60's, a television pioneer, she was a regular on Graham Kennedy's In Melbourne Tonight ( IMT ), ultimately hosting her own IMT , the first woman to do so. In the UK she appeared in night clubs, revues, BBC-TV and BBC Radio. After relocating to the US in the mid 70s through the mid 90s she worked extensively in theatre. She has since returned to live permanently in Australia. Toni has won two Logies, a Variety Club Award, and the Mo Award. In 1993 she was presented with the Key To The City of Melbourne. In 2000 she was included in the Victoria Honors List of Women Shaping the Nation.
