fabulous book
This book was better than the textbook assigned to my microbiology class for getting the basics of micro. The information is clinically oriented (people illnesses) and is well organized. The subject matter is not simple no matter how hard they try, but this book is about as good as it gets in terms of simplifying but not talking down to you. A background in anatomy and physiology is helpful before reading the book.
