NEAR FINE in NEAR FINE dust jacket. A crisp, clean, totally unmarked copy. Pages unblemished. Green cloth hardcover, title gilt-stamped on front and spine is fresh and fine. Binding very slightly creaky but both hinges and book block are firm and intact. Color pictorial dust jacket has a few light surface dentings but is clean and colorful-no tears, chips, creases or scuffs. Jacket is in a clear archival protector. There are three essays (two by Gary Libby and one by Juan A. Martinez), a Selected Review of Cuban Photography (1839-1921), a Note on the Cuban Foundation Collection. These are followed by the color plates of works from the late 18th century to the mid-20th century. More than 25 artists are represented, including Jose Nicholas de la Escalera, Esteban Chartrand, Leopoldo Romanach, Juan Gil Garcia, Mariano Miguel, Amelia Pelaez, Carlos Enriquez and Guido Llinas.
