library must-have
If you are a book binder, this book is a must-have. If you're not a book binder, but enjoy an artist's immense enthusiasm for his work, this book is a must-have. Mr. Smith will make you look at books with a new vision. What pretty writing, what nice drawings.

Great primer
This book has everything a beginner needs. This isn't the most "pretty" book out there, but it has a plethora of information and ideas for basic and artistic bindings. The text is a bit dry, but extremely functional. It can seem confusing at first, but if you actually read the instructions you will find that they make a lot of sense because he writes out every step. Many techniques and bindings are described, all without the use of glue and expensive equipment.
