It is surrounded by the counties of: Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois. The deeds within this book start with the creation of the county in 1821 but many have earlier dates because they were not officially recorded until after it was carved off of Ste, Genevieve.
