For animal lovers
Like all of James Herriot's books, The Lord God Made Them All is a Godsend for all animal lovers worldwide. His treatment of animals as real beings, each one with its own personality, is delightful, his good-humoured way of treating all the adventures and misadventures of veterinary life in the country is superb. I love him (as a writer, of course, haha).
