Intense English Thriller
Mary is a young woman who goes to live with her aunt after becoming an orphan without means of support. Her aunt and the aunt's husband run an inn and restaurant along the rugged Engish coast. It is a territory filled with dangerous swampy moors, and rough sailors. Mary works in the bar to earn her keep but no guests seems to ever stay at the inn. In fact, most people avoid the establishment entirely. Mary's aunt's abusive husband leads a group of men who cause the wrecking of ships carrying goods. The group salvages the goods, divides the booty and leaves the ship's crew to drown. Mary discovers their terrible secrets (which uncle is not happy about) and with the help of a new gentleman friend tries to flee her home at the inn. As you can imagine, running away is not easy and it does not go well. This is a well-written story with an interesting story line and plot. It will hold your interest well.

Not a tropic venture, but a British classic!
Realizing that Daphne Du Maurier has written other notable bestsellers than her acclaimed REBECCA, I decided to find her other masterpieces and read them. The astounding perspective of a young innocent young girl is not only the most popular of all character perception, but is a genuinely classic descprition. Though the book wasn't as great as Rebecca, I find the depiction of the ship wreckers was completely accurate and more inspiring with the undertones in Romance between the two characters and the suspense of the climax and the final chapters. This tale of love and mystery will most likely continue to thrive on the shelves of our bookstores.

Jamaica Inn
This is the first book by Daphne DuMaurier, that I have read. Since I am interested in Celtic information, I thought this book, written by Daphne DuMaurier, who lived in Cormwall, and is the location of the story, would suit me very well. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed this book very much. And would recommend it to anyone else, who enjoy a good story that is well written.
