The best book I have ever read on small boats!
This is an essential book for anyone who dreams about and hopes one day to build a small wooden boat. The instructions are more detailed than in others of Gardner's classic compilations of plans. He also includes a fascinating section on the history of the dory. Well worth reading even if the boat you dream of is not a dory. Though don't be surprised if you change you mind and find yourself fantasizing about a Beachcomber Alpha!
