Good. Bindings are intact; pages are clean with no markings, underlinings, etc. The covers, as to be expected, are worn with age and shelf wear. 7 volume set. Sewn binding. Paper over boards. Audience: General/trade. These volumes are from different impressions between 1968-1980. Vol. 7 does not show any impression or printing date, only the copyright date of 1938. There is a binding oddity in Vol. 5, which is the index volume for Vols. 1 & 2; the cover is upside down. This does not affect the usability of the book; the reader must simply turn it upside down when consulting it.
