Oblong shaped book is hard cover of blue cloth, with silver blind stamping on front and spine. Faint bumping to corners. DJ has slight rubbing; in a mylar cover. Illustrated with almost 200 years of photographs, mostly b/w or sepia. A few color ones, toward the end. Half-title page reads: FOR DR. FREEMAN WILNER WITH BEST WISHES ON HIS 65TH BIRTHDAY. W B. BECKER, MAY 1991. There is another gift inscription on FFEP, to same recipient, dated June 1991. Laid in is a playbill from a play directed by Becker, of 'Brady on Broadway'. The play was likely performed between 1990-93, as Harold Poling is listed as CEO of Ford Motor Co., a play sponsor, and those were the years he was CEO. Note on the playbill, with Becker's bio outlined in pink marker. Some of the sections are: Early Photography and Art History; Illustrations; Notes to the Illustrations; Primer on Processes.; Signed by Author.
