I expected a true-to-form encyclopedia of sorts, and I recieved so much more. While this book does stick to the encyclopedia format, I feel that the author just didn't have enough space to say all that she wanted to say. In many entries there are links and keywords to help audiences check out Guiley's resources first hand or look further in-depth on the topic. What I didn't expect to find were alternative/compairitive termonolgies for many of the entries, ie: SEE so-and-so for more info... Overall whether you believe or don't, this is a fun resource to have for hobby reading or storytelling.
