This is the definitive textbook for Oncology Nursing. It is well written and organized. I read it when I took my Oncology Nursing Cerfiicate course, and used the multiple choice test questions at the end of each chapter to help study for the CNA exams. Being written by an American, of course, all of the cancer statistics are U.S. numbers, as are the unique problems there, such as lack of health insurance impacting who gets care, and therefore, who survives. They also keep statistics by race. If there is a Canadian equivalent out there, I haven't found it. The sample questions are also more symptom and tratment related, whereas the Canadian Oncology Nursing exam has more psycho-social questions that the U.S. certification exam. A very good text to give you the rationale behind treatment. It has many charts and quick overview sections.
