McKnight shows how military invasion of this region led to increasing guerrilla warfare and how regular armies and state militias ripped communities along partisan lines, leaving wounds long after the official end of the Civil War.

I finally received this book. Alibris doesn't give you much time after you order the book to review it. The problem was the bookstore shipped the book to me on Jan. 2nd but I did not receive it until today, Jan. 28th. Alibris asked me to review it about two weeks after I ordered it.
The book is just as I expected, looks like new and I look forward to reading it.
