Seller's Description:
Dykinga, Jack W. As New in As New jacket. 4to-over 9¾-12" tall. pp. 168. Book as new and unread, dust jacket has faint fading of the spine. Oblong quarto book. Includes 125 full-colour photos. A beautiful but inhospitable (to humans) part of the south-west USA and Mexico, the Sonoran Desert suffers harsh heats and very little rainfall, but nonetheless supports a diverse and flourishing ecosystem of plants, birds, insects and small mammals-and many of their famous cacti. The landscape and flora and fauna are captured in their splendour and challenges in both photographs and text by two people who knew the desert intimately. This is a heavy book and will require extra postage outside the UK.
