Wonderful full color illustrations and text all on glossy 8 1/2 X 11paper. Includes reviews of previous movies of the Phantom, photos of the play in the Paris Opera house and a review of the original story by Gaston Leroux. The complete Libretto of the original play is in the back of this book. Some of the pictures taken of the play are fuzzy, unlike the rest of the photos in the book. Over all, this book provides a good history of the story and all of its different versions.

Phantastic background
This book explores the background story of the Phantom and the Opera House as well as the writing of the musical. It includes pictures from the London production at Her Majesty's Theatre. For those of us who thoroughly love the Phantom this is a must-read! Theater buffs would enjoy the stage effects, the costuming, and the make up as described and pictured in this volume. Good reading for phans and phans in the making!
