bought the young readers copy. we talked about it at a book club. All were amazed at the relations of the people of different cultures, where there was no fear, there was no threat.

an inspiration
I was so pleased to find a young readers' version of a book I loved. IT bridges the gap between two worlds in a fascinating and readable way. It's a must-read.

Good book to share with kids
This book arrived promptly. I had not realized when I ordered it that this was a children's version of the book. However, it is the story of an amazing man who set out to climb the world's tallest mountain, and instead wound up building schools for kids in the area where there previously were none. American children will feel privileged when this story is shared with them and they are made to realize how important a good education is.
