I'm writing a screenplay on an interracial relationship between a Maori woman and a cattle rancher and this book helped me tremendously with Maori customs and beliefs and how to act when you visit a Marae. Insiteful poems and a bit of history of the Maori people is also included. Prayers in the Maori language and their translations are also included. A very helpful book for anyone visiting New Zealand who plans on visiting a Maori Marae. Also for anyone curious about, or doing research on the Maori people themselves.
