Every plant you can imagine is in here with all the information you need to become the master gardener of your neighborhood. I had a book that was similar to this one and lent it out. Guess you know what happened to that. Anyway, I went on the hunt for another and found this book. It is even better than the last book. Pictures are crisp and clear of each and every plant. Helpful information on each is listed. I LOVE this book. This is one I will be studying for a long time. If you enjoy plants other than the usual that you find in garden centers, and want to include something different in your gardens, this book will fill the bill. There is an A-Z plant directory, as-well-as cross referencing to botanical names. The Genus is listed, along with a common name index. Under most entries are lists of subspecies plants and cultivars. Cultivation, care required, height and spread and hardiness are all listed as well. This is one huge book with lots of really important information written by The American Horticulture Society. They took great pains to get it right. And I thank them for one great book.
