I am not an history buff but I love to read historical fiction, especially when it relates to personal family history. The Galway Chronicles are a series on Irish history. And this series got me interested enough in it that I had to go to my public library and do some digging to verify some of the happenings in this book. The Thoene's have a great way of weaving the historical facts with their wonderful fiction. And now I can remember some of this history. I recommend any of their books. Great reads!
