I chose to read this book based on the title and the recommendation on the front cover by Don Miller. Notice the quote just says the writer is someone he admires. Not really anything about the book. And I would give a "bless your heart" comment about the book as well. The writing style is not the soul-searching unorthodox ramblings of Don Miller, instead it's well organized; 10 chapters of 3-point sermons written by a preacher. Every now and then throw in a preacher-joke or cheesy comment. NEVERTHELESS: The book brings up points that need to be addressed. Thoughts that will make you think. Hopefully you will check the speck in your own eye before thinking of other "dumb christians". I am even using the book as an outline for a Bible study at my local congregation. Overall, I would recommend you read it and apply the principles. Just don't expect the words to run you over with emotional life-changing rhetoric.
