It is a very good book on networking but what I was looking for was a cookbook approach to setting up a network. I find myself on the internet a lot, looking up answers to questions about networking which this book doesn't answer.

not what i wanted
this book is windows based. if you want to learn about a windows networking environment, then this might help you out, depending on your current level of understanding. however, if you are looking for something to give you insight into linux (or any other non windows networking environment) then i would look elsewhere. this book has zero helpful information about linux so it is useless to me, but i'm sure some people would find it interesting or helpful.
