Fun Read
A down on love country girl trying to escape overprotective family. A wealthy high society bachelor trying to avoid romantic entanglements so he can focus on his business. A platonic marriage contract between them would solve all of their problems. What could possibly go wrong?
From meddling family members to jilted lovers; from mysteries at the mine to trying to "sell" their romance as genuine, Maisie and Boone romp from one misadventure to another. Through careful character development and detailed descriptions of the town and era, the author provides an enjoyable, page-turning read. While this is the second book in the series, it isn't necessary to read the first to thoroughly enjoy this book.
I was given a copy of this book to read, but was not required to leave a positive review.
