I like Voltaire very much, especially his Candide, although critics say it is not deeply philosophical. Philosophical Dictionary is concisely philosophical. The easiest way to know what philosophy is is by reading a philosophical dictionary, and Voltaire's Philosophical Dictionary is the best choice.
