This book is well written, and I found it interesting, but the subject matter was a bit hard to take. The story was very interesting, and the plot was tantalizing; I couldn't put it down, as I was eager to see how the lovers would eventually work out their differences.
However, if you're uncomfortable with sex that borders on rape, this is not the book for you. The author makes it clear that the woman is actually attracted to the man, and willing to have sex with him, but the actual details were a bit too harsh for my personal taste.
If you aren't bothered by a totally dominant male having passionate sex with a willing captive, then you might enjoy this book.

Started out good....
I strarted reading this book in local book store and bought it to continue what was starting out to be intriguing with the shapeshifter/animal to human aspect. Not my usual interest, but the main characters appealed to me. It wasn't long before the sexual violence and over the top discriptions had me cringing! I felt the author could have done SO much more to build on the emotional relationship and less sexual humiliation/degradation. The animal/human factor was not delt with enough either, the female was the victim rather than a worthy opponant to the lead male. The ending was good but there were several chapters of negative sexual images that disturbed me and made the book less enjoyable.
