Jace is forced to flee down back alleys trying to escape the unknown assailant giving chase. Making his way back to Lowell's office he arrives to find it trashed, Lowell dead, and himself the prime suspect. Jace is forced to elude both the police and the men who want him dead whilst he attempts to find evidence with which to clear his name. Excellent read!
I read a lot of mysteries but haven't read a Tami Hoag for a long time.....I think I got burned out after her first few books......but I happened to pick up Kill The Messenger......I started reading this book at 12:30 PM on Saturday and finished it late Sunday night..and it has 500 pages.....need I say more...I didn't do a thing all weekend but read......I couldn't put it down....she develops her characters so well you feel you know them and she can make you suspect each one at different times in the book.....so many twists...when I finished this one I purchased Prior Bad Acts by Hoag and liked it as well....
