Louie Cogburn has spent three days holed up in his apartment, staring at his computer screen. His pounding headache is unbearable...like spikes drilling into his brain. And it's getting worse. Finally, when someone knocks at his door, Louie picks up a baseball bat, opens the door, and starts swinging...The first cop on the scene fires his stunner twice and Louie dies instantly. Detective Eve Dallas takes over the investigation, but there's nothing to explain the man's sudden rage or death. The only clue is a bizarre message left on his computer screen: Absolute Purity Achieved. And when a second man dies under nearly identical circumstances, Dallas starts racking her brain for answers and for courage to face the impossible...that this might be a computer virus able to spread from machine to man...

Love any book by Robb.....the interaction between Dallas nd Peabody is subtle and wry. Greatly recommend!

Exciting Series
My only caution with this series is that once you get started it is hard to stop. There must be almost 30 books about Eve and her sexy husband. It has been hard hunting down all the books so that I can say I have read them all but finally I have managed it. Alibris was a big help since some of her books are out of print - I think. These books have mystery with a touch of science fiction and lots of romance.
