Spending time with our feathered friends
Once upon a time, this book used to be a popular prize at schools everywhere. I recently met an established ornithologist who himself had received it as a prize at school. He said it is a wonderful book to arouse the interest of youngsters and budding ornithologists in our feathered friends. I couldn't agree more.
First published over six decades ago, I think this is a classic to treasure, like many of the Observer t Books in the Pocket Reference Series, and is embellished with handsome illustrations of all the birds mentioned in the book along with their Latin names. A book to read, keep and consult, and to pass on to one's children or grandchildren. Anyone who loves birds should love this book.
