I just finished reading this book for the 3rd time. I first read it 4 1/2 years ago and it gave me the will to try being a vegetarian. I have not eaten any animal since, nor will I ever again. Singer discusses how animals are treated on an every day basis and it truly touched me. I have always been an animal lover, but never considered cows, pigs and chickens. This book changed my life in a great way.
