From the library of the British novelist and poet Barry Cole (1936-2014) with his ownership signature and a note 'Durham! 972. ' An interesting association, Cole was part of a small circle of experimental novelists at this time including his friend BS Johnson, Ann Quin and Alan Burns. Experimental novel-"In this, his fourth novel, Alan Burns continues his highly original search for a fragmented form that reflects society's disintegration.
