Seller's Description:
Very good. Connecting readers with great books since 1972! Used books may not include companion materials, and may have some shelf wear or limited writing. We ship orders daily and Customer Service is our top priority!
This is a thoughtful, timely book for a woman at many times in her life. I have reread it on several occasions pulling what I need from her thoughts each reading. I have given it as a gift or just a gesture to several friends and acquaintances to be company to them. I will continue to do so as I see the need. Recently I enjoyed a biography of her life which offered a further explanation of her time spent alone on the shore while writing "Gift from the Sea". A remarkable lady.

Anne Morrow Lindbergh - Gift From the Sea - This is a literary tool that you'll rediscover periodically, year after year. Read it once, and you'll be compelled to a second read. Not because you didn't get it but because it is so darned good! Bought six copies for Christmas gifts ...

Interesting outlook on life
I bought this book thinking it was a book about the history of different kinds of seashells and it did touch on it a little bit, however, how the author compared life experiences to different kinds of seashells turned out to be very interesting and thought provoking. I found the book to be interesting and have loaned it out to other people. They enjoyed it also. I would recommend this book and seller.

Great book
This book gives insightful into the process and importance of personal rumination, while unveiling elementary truths for one women, that may prove true for others. Although this book was written for a female audience, I believe it's still a great read, regardless of sex.
