Excellent introduction to an essential topic.
I highly recommend this wonderful book as a starting point in the study of evolution. Zimmer's writing is clear and evocative; the scientific concepts are well explained; the illustrations are a delight. Even for those well-versed in the details of the subject, I think it would provide a very enjoyable overview. Snap it up!
